Photos of Purported ‘iPhone 5S’ Home Button, Vibrator Surface

The folks at Nowhereelse.fr have spotted images of what appear to be leaked components of the iPhone 5S. The images, which show the rumored device’s home button and vibrator, come from a Japanese vendor Moumantai.
The design of the iPhone 5S home button flex is largely the same as that in the iPhone 5 as you can see in the image above, with the exception of the flex cable that is a bit longer and differently shaped in the iPhone 5S. This could indicate a difference in the placement of the logic board in the next iPhone, since it’s the flex cable that connects the home button to the logic board.

The absence of a significant change between the two components also puts into question the possibility of the iPhone 5S getting a fingerprint sensor, given that the home button was said to be a likely place for the sensor.

The second component is the vibrator along with a flex cable that also houses the volume buttons and the mute switch.
The frequency of component leaks is generally a good indicator of how close we’re to the actual launch. Till now the only other iPhone 5S leak we’ve seen is the loudspeaker module, suggesting that the launch is still a few months away. Most rumors currently point to a July or August launch for the device.
