Photo of purported iPhone 5S batteries indicates Apple may be ramping up production

French website Nowhereelse.fr has published a photo of trays of batteries of a production line. The French site claims that the batteries are for the iPhone 5S, which indicates that Apple has indeed started ramping up production for the next generation iPhone.

It is important to note that it is difficult to confirm if they’re indeed batteries for iPhone 5S due to the lack of markings on them.
However, over the last few days, photos of alleged iPhone 5S parts have revealed some interesting details such as:
  • It may be powered by A7, the next generation A-series chip with 1GB RAM.
  • iPhone 5S may come with a bigger battery. It had a battery capacity of of 5.92Whr and 1560 mAh compared to 5.45 Whr and 1440 mAh capacity of the iPhone 5′s battery. It needs to be seen if it would translate into longer battery life, as it is also expected to be powered by A7.
  • Dual LED flash in the back panel
Apple is widely expected to unveil iPhone 5S alongside a cheaper iPhone around the September timeframe.
